Itinerary of Flores Highlights Tour

Day 1: Arrival Maumere – Moni (D)

Upon arrival at Maumere Airport, you will meet our local guide and then drive to Moni. It is a picturesque village located near Kelimutu Lake. On the way, you will stop at a local fishing village to discover the life of the Bugis and Bajo people who still live in traditionally constructed houses with the impressive Mount Egon as the background. After lunch at a local restaurant, we will visit Sikka and explore an old church built in 1889 reflecting the Portuguese influence in Flores at the time. Your last stop of the day will be at the beautiful white sand Koka Beach with crystal clear waters. It is perfect for a cooling swim, before arriving at your lodge in Moni where you will spend the night. Lunch will be at local restaurant while Dinner & accommodation at KELIMUTU ECO LODGE

Day 2:    Kelimutu – Riung (B)

We start the tour in the early morning at 04:00 am from your hotel and drive to Mount Kelimutu to visit the three -colored crater lakes. It is probably the most amazing natural phenomenon in Nusa Tenggara. The color has dramatic changed in the last 20 years, now it has turquoise, Blue and dark green.

In the morning, it is the best opportunities to enjoy sunrise (if the weather permitted) and then return to Hotel for Breakfast. After having breakfast, we will continue transfer from Moni to Riung. On the way to Riung, we will visit Blue Paddle Beach the wonderful beach with green and different color stones. Overnight in Pondok SVD Riung

Day 3:    Riung – Boot Tour to Kalong – Pulau Tiga & Rutong Island (B/L)

After breakfast, we will visit Riung National Park. It is a Boat trip to Kalong, Pulau Tiga & Rutong Island. Enjoy the crystal clear water and the beautiful coral, snorkeling, swimming and beach relaxing in Riung National Park.    Overnight in Pondok SVD Riung

Day 4:    Riung – Soa – Bena Village – Bajawa (B)

Breakfast at Hotel and then we drive to So’a Hot Spring Water for relaxing and then proceed to visit Bena Traditional Village. Continue drive for your Hotel in Bajawa. Overnight in Edelweis Bajawa

Day 5:    Bajawa – Aimere Village – Ranamese Lake – Ruteng (B)

In the morning, we drive to Ruteng and on the way to Ruteng will visit Aimere Village to see Arak process. Then we will have Photo stop at Ranamese crater and to see the panoramic of Ranamese’s Lake. Overnight in Sindha Hotel Ruteng

Day 6: Ruteng– Wae Rebo ( B/L/D)

Start from hotel at Ruteng in the morning, we drive inland with beautiful panoramic views, villages and rice fields. Stop at Cancar Spiderweb and Todo Village. Lunch at local at local house in Denge. Afternoon Hiking uphill through the rain forest to reach Wae Lomba – a creek as the first stop after about a one hour trek from Denge. You can enjoy the natural pools before continue trekking.

Then uphill to reach Post 2 at Pocoroko a point for panoramic views to the South and Savu sea.
It’s the last place where cellular phone connection services are available. The next stop will be at Nampe Bakok – a place where you will have a complete view over the traditional village of Waerebo. Arrive at Waerebo before midday. Lunch and dinner will be provided at the village. Spend your whole afternoon in the village and surroundings to experience the local way of life. Your overnight stay will be provided at one of the traditional houses. Sharing with the local people. (Very Simple accommodation).

Day 7: Wae Rebo – Labuan Bajo (B/L)

Spend your morning in the village and then trek the same way back but this time you walk downhill until reaching a point where the car is waiting to bring you back to Labuan Bajo. Lunch will be en route and will arrive in Labuan Bajo by late afternoon or early of the evening. Overnight at Jayakarta Resort Labuan Bajo.

Day 08: Labuan Bajo – Departure ( B/L/D)

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and check out afterwards. Extend your stay if you have the time and scuba dive to explore Komodo National Park to see Komodo Dragon, the biggest living lizard. You will be picked up at the hotel lobby at the designated time depending on your flight schedule. Proceed directly to Komodo Airport  for your onward journey with wonderful memories of your visit.
